Britney Spears and partner Sam Asghari have announced that they are expecting a baby.
On Monday, Spears posted on her official Instagram account that she had lost weight to go on her recent vacation in Maui, only to gain it back. She said that Asghari told her she was “food pregnant.”
“So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby,” Spears wrote.
CNN has contacted a representative for Spears for comment.
Spears and Asghari have been open about their desire to have a child together since their engagement in September 2021.
Spears testified last year in her court testimonies to end her conservatorship that she was prohibited from getting off birth control despite wanting to have a baby.
In December, Spears teased followers about a “new addition to the family” before revealing her Australian Shepherd puppy named Sawyer.
The singer posted that she “won’t be going out as much” to prevent the paparazzi from photographing her pregnant.
She is the mother of two teen sons, Sean and Jayden, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
